Program Overview
The Pre-Flight Academy Program was created to further develop and enhance a child’s technical, tactical, psycho-social and physical skills in a game-like setting, while incorporating player intervention into every training session. The Pre-Flight Academy Program is an additional program created for Recreational players born in 2018 who want to receive professional coaching. The Pre-Flight Academy Program includes one (1) training session per week, the training sessions will be held mainly on Friday evening with select Saturday mornings and will be coached by Flight Professional Coaching Staff. The Pre-Flight Academy Program also includes four (4) bi-weekly Intra Pre-Flight Academy games. All of these games will take place on Friday evenings under the lights at the Cajun Industries Soccer Complex.
Players register individually for the Pre-Flight Academy Program, knowing that Registration for the Recreational League is REQUIRED to participate.
GAME & PRACTICE INFORMATION
Practice will take place mainly on Friday evenings & on select Saturday morning dates for 1-hour each with games taking place on select Saturday morning dates. (see calendar below)
Groups will be determined by available coaching staff and participant registration. Below are the planned practice and game day events, we have also included make-up dates incase of rainouts or any unforeseen circumstances.

Fall 2024 Event Notes

Uniforms & Training Jersey
- Pre-Flight Game Days, players will wear their Flight Recreational Uniforms which can be purchased from Third Coast Soccer and is a requirement to take part in the Recreational League/Pre-Flight Program.
- Each Pre-Flight player will receive a FREE training jersey as part of the program. The order for the Pre-Flight training jerseys will be placed 2-weeks before Practice #1. Players who register for the program late will receive their jersey 2-weeks after their initial registration

No, to take part in the Pre-Flight program you must first be registered in the Recreational League
There are no teams for Pre-Flight Academy, all players are in a “pool” and practice/play with different players each week.
Cajun Industries Soccer Complex
5:30pm-6:30pm OR 7pm-8pm, subject to availability
6pm-7pm on Friday evenings
Their Flight Recreational Uniform (Blue or Grey - Information will be sent out in weekly emails)
Adam Shaw (Programs Director) will send an email with rosters, field number and color jersey for your child to wear on Thursday evening (only for game day weeks)
Pre-Flight Practice/Training Jersey, Shin Guards underneath their socks, Soccer Cleats (no Baseball or Football cleats are permitted).
Members of the Professional Flight Coaching Staff with Recreational Coaches in those age groups assisting on Game Dates.
