Current Community Partnerships
Ascension Parish Recreation Department
Ascension Parish Recreation (APRD) is dedicated to enriching the quality of life for parish residents by providing safe, sustainable places to play, innovative programs, exceptional facilities, and strong health and wellness opportunities through community collaboration. APRD plays a vital role in the success of Ascension Flight Soccer Club, providing the foundation and facilities that Flight calls home. Together, Flight and APRD continue to expand soccer opportunities across the parish, most recently through their joint efforts in Indoor Futsal and the Donaldsonville Soccer program, strengthening a partnership that continues to grow from strength to strength.
Ascension Parks Foundation
The Ascension Parks Foundation (APF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Ascension Parish by supporting and expanding access to parks and recreational facilities. Serving as the fundraising and advocacy arm for local parks and recreation, APF invests in capital projects, community events, and collaborative initiatives to create safe, welcoming spaces that encourage a healthy, active, and connected community. Ascension Flight Soccer Club proudly supports APF from the 2025 Fall through the 2027 Spring soccer seasons, donating a portion of proceeds from every Flight jersey sold to directly fund the Foundation’s efforts to improve Ascension Parish—one park at a time.
Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux
Walk On's is a Louisiana-based, family-friendly sports bar and restaurant founded in 2003 by former LSU basketball walk-on Brandon Landry. Known for its scratch-made, Louisiana-inspired cuisine—including Cajun specialties, fresh seafood, and burgers—Walk-On’s delivers a high-energy dining experience with premier sports viewing throughout the restaurant. Through its partnership with Ascension Flight Soccer Club, Walk-On’s supports Flight families by offering a “Kids Eat Free” promotion for all Flight members during the Fall and Spring soccer seasons, strengthening the connection between local business and community athletics.
City of Gonzales
Gonzales, Louisiana—known as the “Jambalaya Capital of the World”—is a vibrant and growing city in Ascension Parish, located between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. With a population of more than 12,000, it offers rich culture, popular festivals, major shopping destinations like Tanger Outlets, and a welcoming community supported by strong parks and commercial development. The City of Gonzales is where Ascension Flight Soccer Club began in the 1990s, and the club remains deeply grateful for more than 20 years of support while operating out of city sports complexes. Today, the City continues its partnership by providing designated free meeting spaces across its facilities for Flight’s educational programs and meeting needs.

“Louisiana’s Sweet Spot” is the tourism brand for Ascension Parish, located between Baton Rouge and New Orleans, promoting the region as a vibrant destination rich in history, culture, and Southern hospitality. The Ochsner Andrews Sports Medicine Institute
The Ochsner Andrews Sports Medicine Institute is dedicated to helping patients of all ages and ability levels return to activity safely and efficiently, serving communities across Louisiana and Mississippi. Combining Ochsner’s award-winning sports medicine program with the renowned expertise of orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews, the Institute delivers comprehensive, individualized care through a collaborative team of physicians, athletic trainers, physical therapists, and advanced practice providers. Founded 65 years ago, Alliance Safety Council has grown from a three-person team into one of the nation’s largest workplace safety training organizations, operating five state-of-the-art facilities across Louisiana and offering more than 1,300 industry-recognized courses to over 250,000 workers annually. As a nonprofit, Alliance is dedicated to creating safer workplaces and smarter workforces through innovative training, customized solutions, and a commitment to community well-being. The Sorrento Lions Club Presents The Boucherie & Balloon Festival
The Boucherie and Balloon Festival serves as a primary fundraiser dedicated to supporting humanitarian efforts, including the Louisiana Lions Eye Foundation and Louisiana Lions Camp, by providing glasses and hearing aids to those in need and sending children with respiratory disorders, special needs, juvenile diabetes, and childhood cancer to summer camp. Through strong community and sponsor support, the festival continues its legacy of giving back and improving lives. In 2026, the Boucherie and Balloon Festival is proudly sponsoring Ascension Flight’s For All Needs (FANs) Soccer Program, helping provide jerseys for every player, new equipment to enhance sessions, and support for administrative and coaching costs.
