First Flight

Program Overview

The focus of our First Flight program is to help develop children's gross motor skills through a fun journey based games while providing an introduction to the basics of soccer. Children will be immersed in an environment of activities targeted to develop/strengthen their muscles, improve their balance and coordination through ball skills, and enjoying activities along with their friends.

There are ten (10) individual developmental sessions; five (5) in the Fall Season and five (5) in the Spring Season on each of the following Saturdays below. There are NO GAMES in this program as we direct our focus on FUNdemental activities for boys & girls in this birth-year. Any players born in 2017 are NOT allowed to 'play-up' in our Recreational League, no exceptions. The players will be split into small groups at the beginning of each session and we encourage parents to participate in all activities, where and when needed.

When registering in the Fall this automatically enrolls each participant for the Spring with no additional fee. Any registrations during the Spring will be for the number of sessions that are left in the program.

All players receive one (1) FREE First Flight Jersey as part of the program. 

First Flight Jerseys can be collected at Third Coast Soccer. When Jerseys are collected, please inform the member of staff that you are part of the First Flight program and NOT the Recreational League.

All Jerseys must be Blue and have the ‘Action Therapy & Wellness’ sponsorship on the front. Players are not required to get numbers on the back of their jersey as this program does not include games.

FAQs

Boys & Girls born between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017 are allowed to register. Unfortunately, we can not accept any other birth years at this time.

Sessions will take place at the Cajun Industries Soccer Complex located near the Lamar Dixon Expo Center, each session will start at 9am and finish no later than 10am on the dates provided. 

Please make sure that you bring

  • Size 3 Soccer Ball, fully inflated
  • Blue First Flight Jersey
  • Shin Guards underneath Socks
  • Cleats (No Baseball or Football Cleats are Permitted)
  • Plenty of Water

Jerseys can be collected at Third Coast Soccer, there is a 1-Jersey limit per player. Please make sure you tell the Staff Member upon collection you are part of the ‘First Flight 4U Program’ and NOT in the Recreational League.
